Fugowie war club

I recently scored a quite valuable historical relic at an estate sale. Check out my said-to-be-genuine Fugowie war club.

As a serious student of Texas history, I had read of the famous Panhandle Plains Lost Tribe. After being forced off their centuries old ancestral lands by America's western expansion, the Fugowie wandered the western wilderness asking all they met, "Wer da Fugowie?"

I'm sure one could do some serious damage with this instrument. It does look oddly familiar though...

The Fugowie tribe were not the only ones to use decorative ceramonial weapons the Ynotstartee were well kown in our parts for there colourfull language and ritual chants

For a moment I thought that you might have been talking about me - my last name "Fugere", (org. Fougere, French for "Fern") is often mispronounced as if I were Italian ("Hey, Foogahree, come over heah") in Boston, or "Foogawee" when I am in New Jersey !

Well, my brother-in-law is 1/8 Abnaki, if that counts!

Monte, that's probably a good way to display your relic.  I should have gone to school on you.  The Fugowie war club I took delivery on Wednesday from the folks in San Jose is now in two pieces.  One modest whack with a 2 pound hammer to get the nut started and the handle end broke off.  At least I got the nut loose.

Got mine from San Jose, too. Initial inspection suggested the crudely sand cast club was likely manufactured in Vietnam from re-smeltered F-4's.
