I've been using Metzeler ME33, ME99, since 1988, tires stick real good except when it's real cold, then it takes about 10 miles to get them up to temp. I would caution you on getting long life tires, due to your residing in Las Vegas, the exposure to the high temps and unrelenting sun will accelerate the hardening process of the rubber. Here in Phoenix, I don't keep tires on the bike more than 4 years, no matter how good they look ( usually wear them out before then). But they are a bit on the pricey side, a set of Lazertec tires, 2 Metzeler tubes, mounting and balancing plus sales tax, at Southwest Mototires in Tucson costs around $320 that's the best prices that I could find. If I purchased the tires locally, the price would be at least $400. So do some shopping around before you buy any. Also check how old the tires are when you do get new ones, there's a code molded into the sidewall of all tires to show the week and year it was manufactured in, it would read something like : 4506, which would be the 45 th week of 2006. I don't use tires that are over a year old when I buy them. I have no affiliation with Southwest Mototires, but their prices are the best that I can find on the internet (if you buy 2 tires, the shipping is free), if you have any questions about tires, email them, and the owner Blaine will usually get back to you within a few hours.
