« on: February 23, 2013, 02:59:17 PM »
Every once in a while, when I hit the space bar/key, I start deleting letters .

What did I do to start this ?

Any idea on how ro correct it ?

Depending on what software you are using at the time it sounds like you may have inadvertently pressed the insert key which puts you in over write mode.

I'm only familiar with this in Microsoft Word but it also applies to other word processors. In Word when you press the insert key "OVR" lights up at the bottom of the screen to indicate Word is in overwrite mode. To turn it off just press insert again.

I messed around with the keyboard and found out what I do to get the issue .

If I hit the backspace key inadvertently, then the space bar, I start deleting letters .

Its because you need to press the 'insert' button on your keyboard. That will stop it. I learned the hard way.
