Your polaris silver LS is simply beautiful!! Only offered originally in the 2 colour choices: henna red and polaris silver!
Use anything you can to quickly tie those side covers on...that was excellent advice!!
If anything crops up, members here are ready to help out with answers so don't feel shy!
Oh and welcome!!
1983 R65LS - LRB still my favourite!? 1988 Honda NX250, "Toodles Too" and a Suzuki DR650, "Calypso." All stored in the "Brrrmmm Closet".

Both side covers are present and you can see the cable tie in the photo.

Ah yes. My apologies, I should have looked closer.

I have seen a few lately for sale with missing covers.

Calling all Australian R65 riders. Uluru might be a stretch too far to set up an Australian chapter but the 2015 Scrapheap adventure ride is a good excuse for some of us to get together in September. Whilst the hardcore will be building bikes for under $1000 dollars, all bikes are welcome. (There were 3 R65's last year including moi) In just five years the event has raised over $300,000 for Down Syndrome NSW.

Riders begin their journey at home or wherever they like but arrive at the same destination. This year that destination is Urana in southern NSW, where all ‘Scrappers’ plus family and friends will meet for a weekend of fun and entertainment at a campsite from September 25 to 27. Maybe we can entice some bikes up from Victoria?

Registrations for individuals and teams are now open for 2015 at www.scrapheapadventureride.com.au. Non-riders wanting to donate or sponsor a rider can do so at the same website.
