The One Moto Show in Portland
« on: February 10, 2018, 09:40:19 PM »
It seems like The One Show gets more expensive, more crowded and flashier ever year. It is still a fun show to go to but I miss some of the old rat bikes that used to be in it. Riding was definitely the way to go in spite of the 39 degree temps. Here is a slide show I put together of some of the pictures I took.

There's some nice stuff in there.  A lot of Triumphs.  I only went to the first show, haven't been back since.  I don't get out much.  Will you be going to the OVM banquet again David?  I just sent in my check today.  I'll be heading up with Tom and Dave from Salem again.

Ed, guess I don't check the forum often enough, sorry I missed you. It was an interesting talk.

You did miss a great talk by Craig Hansen, he is a great dealer, just wish his shop were closer.

Actually I think we all three heard his talk, we just don't recognize each other.  I've seen David once at a previous OVM banquet.

ORforester, since this is chit chat, what's the story behind your handle?  I ask because I own and manage 32 acres of forest land that I live on just west of Falls City.  Trying to get geared up for my first commercial (I hope!) thinning.

Ed my story is I am a Forester, worked for USFS for 35 years, still keep active through Professional society.  Spent most of my career administering Timber sales from Idaho to Coos County and Sisulaw NF to end up in Portland, in charge of Oregon and Washington.  Fun job, great retirement never a dull moment!  Fall City, I know that place, probably know you, I have lead the OVM ride for last two years or maybe three, I forget

I've missed the Corvallis ride for several years, it's always on a third Saturday of the month and that's the one where I have too many other obligations to try to get out of all of them.

I was at the Forest Health symposium in Corvallis a couple of weeks ago.  I saw the SAF booth, but I didn't join because I'm not a forester.  I like the magazine though.
