Out for a spin with a friend on his MZ 250. Funny but east beats west on odometer and speedo accuracy. :-? The r65 is off the road for a few weeks now, had a receeding exhaust valve so decided to get both heads done for unleaded.

The motometer gauges don't have a stellar reputation, do they?  A lot of bike manufacturers will make the speedo read a bit high.  I wonder if it's a liability thing.

What are you testing the speedo against?  Granted I refreshed things a bit when I took my gauge apart to fix it, but the speedo bench tested within a couple percentage points of the odo/trip, and that hit a measured mile perfectly.

We used to have Esso fuel depots here in the States.  Long gone.

I was using a garmin 660, the r65 was doing 60mph at an indicated 70, exactly 4000 rpm in top gear. Odometer is the opposite showing less miles than were actually done.
As for the ale, photo was taken outside Johnny Foxes pub in Dublin, beer barrels
are part of vintage paraphernalia used to decorate the place.
The MZ's speedo and odometer were spot on with the garmin.
