That is a very nice looking, well setup R65 you have there!

I still have my pulse air system on - I'm of the "don't mess with it until it becomes a problem crowd".    The general problem that may occur with these is that if you get a split in the rubber coupling in the line, or a problem with the vacuum hoses from the carbs that run the snorkel valves in the airbox, what will happen is that air will continue to be injected into the hot exhaust stream during periods of closed throttle (letting go of the throttle as you coast to a stoplight, for example) and you will get a lot of pop-poppopopopopop backfiring in the exhaust.   If simple rubber hose replacement doesn't fix it, you can remove the whole thing and plug up the airbox holes with timing hole bungs, and the threaded holes in the cylinder heads with oil drain plugs from an oilhead model bike.

But for now, I'd just say ridge, enjoy, and become better aquainted with your nice shiny airhead.  With a bit of care, you'll be able to give it to your grandchildren.
