Ever have your hands slip from a control lever?
« on: June 29, 2012, 12:53:51 PM »
After the dog ate one of my favorite riding gloves (true), I got a new pair of gloves.  They are a different brand/material, and I quickly had a little problem.  Because the palm side of the fingers on the glove is a kind of suade-like material rather than a more traditional leather finish, I found that on quick grabs of the clutch lever my fingers would sometimes slip off and release the clutch.

To solve that problem, I got a little 1/4 inch strip of grip tape and put it along the top/outside edge of the lever.  It greatly increases control over the lever, and even though I did not have any slipping on the brake lever I am adding a strip there too.
