Hi all.. i'm Paul.. from near Woodbridge in Suffolk (UK).. aquired a non running R65LS recently with no spark at the plugs.. so trying to sort that little problem before i can have some fun.. so any help gratefully recieved..!!!!

Hi Paul

You have an electronic ignition system on the bike which has a hall effect sensor driven of the end of the camshaft and an electronic ignition control module under the tank that drives the ignition coil.

If you have no spark at all I guess you want to narrow it down to which of those components is at fault.

This link has a nice description of how the system works and some simple diagnostic tests you can carry out.
