Help Needed:  Vetter Quicksilver Wiring
« on: April 06, 2008, 12:37:13 PM »
Gentlemen-
We're trying to sort out the wiring to mount a Vetter fairing to a 1979 R65.
Anyone have a wiring diagram or can offer other assistance - or steer me to a good site?   I've checked the manual on the Vetter site, and it doesn't quite get us there.

Thanks all-
Bill

We can help with the R65 wiring, but I'm afraid that I'm of no use as to what the wiring harness for a Vetter fairing is supposed to be, have never owned one, surprisingly, even though I've owned and rode motorcycles since the late 70s/early 80s.  I am sure we have others here who can help with that...

I don't have it bookmarked, but if you Google Vetter's site, you can find a section with information including wiring diagrams for the different Vetter fairings.  He also sells or has links to people who sell some of the parts for them.

Gentlemen-
Problem solved.   The manual for the Quicksilver fairing is available on the craigvetter.com website.   Wiring diagram is on page 8.   Made the right connections and all is well.   Many thanks.
