Hi John,

I think I know what had happened to your membership at the Kleine-Boxer-Forum. During the last month we have had a lot of "spam-registrations", caused by PCs. These users looked similar. The nicknames had nothing to do with motorcycles, and they were not human names, only numbers and letters. In the user profile there was no information like name, hobbies, profession or location saved. There was only a link to a website, mostly merchandising. Those users have never posted in the forum. They all got an e-mail from the Admin, which most of them didn´t reply. So the Admin deleted them. Maybe he thought, that you were one of those unreal "spam-users" ::).

Now we have a different procedure to for registration. You have to answer a question:

Which one of those is a planet?
America, earth, cat, university

It sounds easily, but no machine is able to crack that code. It´s the Enigma of the Kleine-Boxer-Forum. ;)

So - if you like, John - try it again. I would be glad to have you aboard in our forum

cu

Dirk

Dirk,

Perhaps that's what happened to my profile.  I'll give registration at Kleineboxer.de another try!

Hi alltogether,

as requested, her are some pics of a of a cow ride with some members of the Kleine-Boxer-Forum.

We met Skipper, a naval officer. It was his last day in the Bundesmarine. Was was retired after 35 years. It was his wish to be accompanied by a BMW-escort out of the base.

That`s him:

We offered him a motorcycle with a sidecar, but we didn´t manage to organize a BMW. He had the choice between a Moto Guzzi and a Ural. But - as a real soldier - he refused to use a russian bike. ::)

Just in the barracks, in front of all the officers, the right carb of my wifes R65 began to menstruate. :o

That was very embarassing, and we immediatley changed the float needle.

Afterwards we rode to the BMW restorer, of which I had already told you.

Her are some more pics of his garage:

After that we rode back to the port city of hamburg. Here you can see us having a break at River Elbe. In the foreground thats my wife Sybille.

In the port of Hamburg there is a Russian submarine. It´s a museum.

This Submarine is a meeting point for russian sidecar bikers.

We BMW-riders met them over there in peacefully coexistance.  :)

This is the submarine.....

And these are the Urals and Dneprs. They look great, don´t they?
Some of them look like Wehrmachts-BMWs

This guy I met on the motorway. He lost his motor cover. That´s improvisation, isn´t it?

And this guy, that´s me. ;D

I hope, the pictures please you. :)

Have a nice time.

Dirk

Wow, Dirk, those are some first class photos! [smiley=thumbsup.gif]  And I got a real laugh out of your line you had of the pic of your wife's bike "menstruating"!!  [smiley=laugh.gif]

Are these recent photos you've taken?  You and your wife must get to ride a lot!

Very nice pictures, Dirk.  Thank you for showing those to us.  I love seeing all those old bikes.  And the guy that does all the restorations - what a shop he has!!!!!  Beautiful bikes and a beautiful shop.

Your wife's bike did what my bike does now and then.   :-[  It hasn't leaked out of the right carb in awhile, but I'm better at remembering to turn of the fuel petcock when I stop now.   This winter (after the Christmas holidays) I will rebuild the carbs and hopefully not have that problem again.

I don't mind at all that you post all these pictures.    [smiley=happy.gif]
