Probably, if you are careful you probably won't need to remove the choke/throttle cables just gently maneuver things around well enough to get carb upside down.  This may not do it but it should be a first step since you commented your fuel lines were starting to look "long-in-the-tooth".  I have seen lines that lookes fine on the outside that were falling apart on the inside...

Oh, if you have compressed air you could probably use that to blow back through the valve seat...

Just adjusted the tab and is stil not 100%
so gonna order some new fuel line and some in-line filters later.
hopefully that will sort it

Hi again,
Well i took both carbs off and adjusted the float tabs, and still leaking
swapped the floats over and still leaking on the right side
so surely it has to be the needle?

If you can, swap the float needle to the other side, and see if the leak follows the suspect part.

Hi all,
Well problem is finally solved!
Me being clever didnt swap the needles over! and just bought a new one!
And still the leak so i thought i would double check the float bowl, filled it with fuel and left it on the garage floor and suprise suprise after a few minutes a small patch of fuel under the bowl!
So will order one tomorrow, or can i repair it?

That was a good idea.  Can you see where it's leaking?  If so I bet you could patch it with JB Weld on the inside and be good for a long time.  Unless those do a lot more flexing that I think they do.

Hi,
I did think about patching it but to be honest i cant be bothered and havent the time at the moment!
That said i have just taken the heads off as tappet noise was still getting to me! was it a normal level i dont know!
and i also stripped the carbs down and gave them a really good old clean and then balanced them and she is going alot sweeter now!
Less noisy too- maybe it was due to dirty carbs?
anyway i have a couple of fuel filters installed now so its all good
