Part for brake lever assembly
« on: January 28, 2019, 06:48:58 AM »
Hi all, took my brake lever assembly apart to get it powder coated, but noticed a small triangle shaped piece that had dropped out, but not sure where it goes. It’s number 25 in the picture. Any ideas? Cheers

Look inside the housing. Were the pinch bolt comes through there’s is a area this sits in. This grips to the handlebar when the bolt is tightened.

The wedge!  And consider yourself lucky since what usually happens is that it falls out unnoticed and when everything's back together you can't figure out why you can't get it tight enough.

Yes, years ago someone made a mistake and ordered a 100 pack of them.
Since that time they are trying hard to sell them...
