Which handlebars are these?
« on: June 17, 2018, 03:29:29 PM »
Afternoon gents: Could anyone shed some light on this, please. I am not sure if these are 'standard' bars or the 'high' bars for a 1979 R65. My measurements with grips on are: Bar length - 26 inches and a rise of 4.5 inches. My measurements don't jive with catalog listings I'm locating. Appreciate your suggestions.

They don't look like original BMW bars of either type to me.

If you were able to measure the diameter accurately then BMW bars are 22 mm while many aftermarket bars are 7/8" which is slightly larger.

Thanks, Barry. I am reading 22mm at several places on the bars. This just adds to my dilemma, sadly.
