Brake Pad help
« on: June 30, 2016, 09:53:26 AM »
Anyone know if EBC FA57 will fit the ATE calipers on my 82LS? It says fits 81-84 but most of those years were brembos I think.
Thanks!

I have a vague memory that the is very little difference between the Brembo and ATE pads and that the Brembo pads will fit with trivial modification.

If you want confirmation i could pull a set of pads out of the wife's ATE equipped bike and see if my new Brembo pads fit.

The metal back plate is the difference between the FA57, for the ATE calipers, and the FA18 pads for the Brembo calipers .

You can cut down the plate on the FA 18's to fit the ATE calipers, but you can't make the FA57's work on Brembo calipers .
