Jon P - Lets have a look at your Bobber!
« on: October 11, 2007, 05:00:05 AM »
Jon,

I am going to revert my Cafe Racer to normal (euro)handle bars and remove the rear sets for a while.  Recently, and especially now we are heading into winter, most of my mileage has been urban.  Not the best place for an extreme riding position.

To that end, I am going to temporarily change my bike a little.  I cannot call it a Bobber as I am not going to hardtail it and I am not going to remove my fenders (in the winter in the UK!!!).  However it will remain with the 'stripped down look' and I might make a new single seat (very basic plywood base and foam covered with leatherette or something) fixed directly to the frame.

I am not going to do anything I cannot undo - no welding, as come summer I will probably convert it back to the Cafe Racer any way.

So show us yours then!

Cheers

Steve H
