Brake issue and two additional questions
« on: August 09, 2015, 02:43:18 PM »
Greetings, all. I've been enjoying my new to me R65 all summer, but have encountered a problem with my front disk brakes (ATE). New M/C and rebuilt calipers, stainless steel brake lines over the winter, all functioning fine till this week when fluid level has dropped maybe a quarter inch and brake lever occasionally gets a little "floppy" after use until it retuns to normal (usually a few seconds later). No obvious leaks evident.  Possibly bleed system and???

Second, can you recommend a windscreen? I see several available, but worry about fit issues.

Finally, a recommendation on a tank bag?

Thanks all!

Simple things first, Bleed the system. Afterwards, tie back the brake lever and leave it overnight. That will force the last of Don Ho's "Tiny Bubbles" outta the system.
I have an economical magnetic tank bag that swaps between all the bikes. You can go economy, mid-price or spend way too much. Google up and plan to stay awhile.
