parts puzzle (thinking new fairing)
« on: August 27, 2014, 11:00:36 AM »
Ok, I currently have the remnants of a Pichler fairing on my bike. (Important to note here that's it's an '86 chassis, so monoshock.)  They don't appear to manufacture new fairings any more, so I'm thinking about replacing with a habermann, not sure about half or full yet.

The pichler came with it's own mounting system that could be used with the habermann, but they seem to suggest using the RT fairing mounts.  These mounts seem to not be available, according to Max's fiche and the local guys.  However, motobins has the fairing bracket for up to '84 model year (I assume dual shock).  A search for the part number turns up a couple retailers that claim to have the bracket, but it's not obvious to me that it will include fasteners, etc.

Another concern is mirrors, although this will depend on the fairing install to check against my handle bars.

Anybody ever added a fairing using the RT mounts, or got some good ideas?
