K&N Pod filters on R80
« on: August 30, 2007, 11:56:14 AM »
As soon as the weather gets a little cooler I'm going to install some K&N pod filters on my R80 cafe bike. Any tips on where to start with the jetting. I will be using a set of dunstall mufflers in conjunction with the pods. The rest of the bike is stock........Dew.

i would leave it as you have it, run it check the plugs. but with letting the engine breathe i would bet you have to go up. your at 140 mains now, order some 142 and 144 mains. i think steve ended up running his all the way to like 150 mains. i am in the same spot except i have left the stock air box with a bunch of holes and a free flowing exhaust and i hit a wall where it stutters at 70 mph.

mains jets from bing are like 5 something a piece so it nots going to break the bank.
