Barrel shaped grips? why aren't they more common?
« on: September 19, 2024, 06:12:12 PM »
Disclaimer.  I have a men's xxl sized hand.  But still.  I've always found grips with a slight barrel shape far more comfortable and secure than straight profile.  The OEM on my '84 R65 is a variant.  It's slightly smaller inbound the widens a bit at the handlebar ends.

These replacements look really nice.

Why do you suppose that the standard motorcycle/scooter grip is not barrel shaped as a standard?

Makes sense to me. My cruiser has realtively huge grips, whilst not barrel shaped, are still comfier than the slim ones on the airhead.
