what is this?

This round part is on my 79 parts bike hooked to a blue, blue red plug.  I have the plug on my 80 runner but no part, I guess I  don't need it but wondering what it is?

Jg,

Turn signal beeper?  You may want to test it with a test light.

Yes I have the turn signal warning beeper. The turn signals will work fine without it. They are annoyingly loud - loud enough to frighten pedestrians which can be a good thing on some occasions. On balance I think they are a useful feature. I disconnected mine for a while then as they are a good safety feature I reconnected it again with some tape over the diaphragm to tone it down a bit.

The flasher relay wiring is very clever as with the turn signal in operation it turns the beeper off when neutral is engaged or the clutch lever is pulled in.

This one had tape over it, maybe I will give it a try.  Thanks.
