Quick Handlebar Question
« on: October 26, 2011, 06:00:37 AM »
Could anybody tell if this is a euro type "low" handlebars for the R65?

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/BMW-R65-ORIGINAL-HANDLE-BARS-/400251774535?pt=AU_Motorcycle_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5d30dd6647#ht_500wt_949

I haven't seen a oem low bar up close so I couldn't really tell.
I'd appreciate the help.
 :)

Sure looks like the low "euro" bars on both my R65s. Rise is within the ball park. However, after a visual check of my bikes, neither have the knurled area for the clamps. These may be an aftermarket R65 pattern.

Not sure if the higher bars favored by some USA customers were on other export R65s.

Go ahead and snag 'em. They look good. ;)

The euro bars are also very narrow, mine measure 590mm (23 1/3 inches) straight across end to end.
