Thanks

Mine is zip tied to the right hand frame member, to keep it off the exhaust header.  The key in general is to have gentle "sweeper" curves as opposed to tight "S" curves in it, so it doesn't bind.  Try a route, then make sure that it doesn't bind across the full movement spectrum of the handle bar - stop to stop.  There are really only three specific contact points: the clutch lever, the clutch actuator at the back of the motor, and a little clippy thingy under the right hand carb that the cable clips into.

Other than the Three specific contact points Matt said, there is no specific way to do it.

By my experience, don't ziptie it too tight on the frame, or else it will bind.

The cable should run through the frame gusset above the horn mount location then down behind the front right frame down tube and along the top of the horizontal frame tube below the right cylinder. Cable tie it loosely as already mentioned.
