Theres a 85mph speedo on ebay right now...looks pretty new and in good shape. Take a look...

Glad you made the call marc. Good luck with the repair. These guys do vintage instruments for our bikes all the time and hopefully they'll have the replacement parts on hand. Wish I had a picture of their shop to share with you.  If there's anything I can do for you after they receive it and get into it, let me know off-list, I'm only about 10 minutes away from them. mvtv@cox.net

They repaired my /7 instruments in the past with the well known problematic odometer gears and shafts.  And completely went through both the speedo and tach for the 650, repainted the faces and cleaned the bezels for $80. Worth every penny.
