Posting Pictures

I want to post a picture of my bike and can't figure out how it's done.  I've tried dragging and dropping and inserting the file name as an attachment at the bottom of the post and neither seems to work when I look at the preview.  What am I doing wrong?

Mike Here's how you do it ..

Click on the "insert Image icon" which is the 3rd in from left top row
This will put a short bit of code in your post.

All you need to do then is click browse on the Attach 1 box and  then locate the image file you wish to post. It should usually be a JPG or Giff.
Highlight the image file and click open.  This will put the file path into the Browse box.
Then post, that's all there is to it.  The preview may not show the image but just post anyway. If it doesn't work you can try adding the picture again using "modify"

As a guide the image should be around 640 x 480 pixels to fit nicely in the post without being too big.

Or... you can use the FREE -my favorite four-letter "F" word- online photo album Photobucket http://photobucket.com/

Set up an account, don't cost nuttin', and then download all your pics to your personal albums, ie: BMW R65, holiday pics, birthday parties, girl friend, whatever.

Then, when you go to your albums, there's IMG Code that you simply click on. It magically copies your photo info and then you simply click on 'paste" during your thread posting and... there you go.

Try it out in the Test Zone and see how it works. I am not a conpuKer maven; more of a techno Luddite, so if I can stumble through it... any soul can.  [smiley=thumbup.gif]   Monte
