Hill Country Rally
« on: April 25, 2017, 11:48:49 AM »
Anybody going to join me as one of the few non-Harley riders on May 5-7 in Luckenbach for the Hill Country Rally??
Should be fun and games out-maneuvering the hogs thru the Twisties. ;)

...And it was FUN to outmaneuver the Hogs through the twisties!!!
I was the only BMW, one of only two Euro bikes( the other being a newish Triumph Triple), the oldest bike,  and the most unusual bike (so I was told over and over), all out of over 300 bikes entered!
The weather was perfect, the roads were amazing, the people were friendly, the beer was ice cold the BBQ was yummy and the music was Pure Texas !
I highly recommend it next year to anyone.
( and yes that's a Harley Owners group patch on my vest; I used to be one... ;)

Forgot to add that the total distance for the two days of the rally was 455 miles, with another 375 added for the ride up and back for a total of 830 miles, averaging 51mpg on 93 octane...

Glad you had an enjoyable time, I wish I could have made things work but I was booked solid.  Seems I never have time to just get out and ride anymore!
