St Patrick's Day Ride

Here's some pictures from my ride on March 17.  We rode up to Hopland on Hwy 101.  Had a nice lunch at the Bluebird Cafe across from the Hopland Brewery, home of Red Tail Ale, the first beer I ever liked.  They used to have a restaurant there, but that has been closed.  Too bad because it was really good.

It was a gorgeous day and my bike was running great.  It's amazing how much better she runs with balanced carbs.  And those wide sweeping curves along this part of the highway are so much fun!!!

On the way back we stopped along the upper reaches of the Russian River by Indian Rock.  There must be some story about an indian maiden jumping from the top of it after loosing her love.  There's always a story like that, right?

We got off the highway as soon as there was a secondary road and took the old highway into Cloverdale where we came upon the Railroad Depot.  This is new and is part of the new railroad system that is supposed to be built from there down to the San Francisco Bay.
