Just out to stretch my legs with my new tires and new seat/luggage rack thing.
When I went to turn out of my neighborhood, I noticed my turnsignal was flashing fast! Shoot! I had forgotten to plug in the connector to the rear lights after re-installing the rear fender...
Pull over and plug in connector...
Then I was off for a loop around Geist Reservoir, just north of where I live. Back when the R65 was new, this was "out in the country" and we would take this ride often. It was just a country road with a couple of bait shops on it. Now it is big fancy houses and a small strip mall with a bank and a restaurant - but no bait shops...
After I circled around the north side of the reservoir, I got in the wrong lane and ended up heading east instead of following the water. So I went out to the first road south, and took that. I knew I was near some old friends that I had not seen in a while, (but I had their co-ords in my GPS), so I punched them up, and followed the arrow. I had only visited them twice before at this house, so no, I couldn't have found it without the gizmo!
So it was nice to see them, but Tom was sick, so he couldn't come outside to admire my handy work on the bike.

I had a pleasant ride home from their house. I didn't cover a lot of miles, but it was a good ride. The seat feels good. It will feel better when I get it fastened down.
