Title: Exhaust clamp and compression rings
Post by: dorydan on May 18, 2021, 08:05:47 AM
Hey guys,
My 82R65LS has just a single clamp ring on the exhaust pipe under each star nut.  There is no compression ring.  Is there a reason for no compression ring or did it just get "lost" at some point.
Thanks!

My 1983 R65 exactly the same. Just one ring. It is correct. Several differences to the bigger bikes that you only discover when you have them in bits.

Yes, only one ring. And the beveled side goes to the nut.
