Post by: nik0 on August 18, 2007, 02:24:06 PM
Sorry guys but I don't ride a R65

I'm just coming back from the arctic circle in Norway, near Mo I Rana
4000 Km alone from Paris to the polar circle & 3000 back

Wow, beautiful photos, nikO!   [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

I just wish I could understand French!  :(  Welcome to our forum, though.  All trips are fun to look at, no matter what one rides!

Is "Le Petite" the little mermaid?  I saved that shot, I've read the story but never seen a picture of the sculpture.  Who hasn't made life long decisions that, even if you could change them, and even if you don't like all of the consequences, you wouldn't make differently?  I don't know the name for the feeling that the picture and the background story arouse in me.  If that's some other statue, then sorry.

Thank you for sharing your photos, nikO - it appears that you have enjoyed a very scenic trip !
I have to say, the height of your tankbag appears very formidable - do you rest your chin on
it while you ride ?!??

 ;)

We always enjoy it when people share their trip descriptions and photos here - even if it wasn't
completed on an R65 (which I admit, I wouldn't be able to ride my R65 with any comfort on a journey of more
than 300-400 KM, at least in a day)...

Tres bien merci.  About all the high school french I have left.  Beautiful pictures.  Someday.

I really enjoyed the little details in your pictures.  Also enjoyed the pics of the Lilliehammer 90/70meter Nordic Jumps.  So much walking for a moment of joy.  I used to do this in High School on a small 40 meter.

Do you sing in a choir or just for fun (when nobody is around)?  I usually start a big trip on the R65 with Morten Lauridsen on my Nano: O Magnum Mysterium.  it's become a tradition.  I reminds me how lucky we are and how brief our time is here.  Wonderful music for the best of times.  I sing the tenor part usually when nobody is listening but sometimes I can be heard...
