Hello everyone....
I´ve been trying to get for a while a BMW R1100R ABS around these parts but I believe there´s hardly 4 or 5 in the entire country (Costa Rica), so I´m starting to leave that idea...
Now, I noticed the Breva 1100 it´s a similar choice and it happens to be one around (2006 model) at a good price....
I´ve been researching a little bit about them, it seems to be a nice bike, so I would like someone that knows them to give out an opinion.
My mechanic says its a good machine, simple enough, but it has problems with replacement parts, as long as I am here, but the same happens with my R65, I have to get all my parts from the US usually, so that´s no biggie in my mind....
Anything else I need to know?
I noticed there´s a bunch of owners that apply Power Commander to it (not very sue what that is)...
Thank you in advance!!!

What Bob said, plus here's an excellent, short road test report between the two. And, parts are easily available from several large distributors, that are also very helpful via telephone and email.

ps: I prefer the Breva ;)

Our member Bengt Phorqs has a Guzzi or two, and has had some in the past - he may chime in. I've also had sortof a "lust from afar" interest in Guzzis, though I tend to like the California and older Lemans (and even Ambassadors) models.
But, for new Guzzis - the ONLY bike that might make me consider trading in my R65LS would be a V7 Classic.. especially if I could get one in ~800cc!
