I like that. First Glodwing that does not appear overweight.

Wow! If only the rest of us could go from dumpy to muscular in 6 weeks!
Still scratching my head as to why some guy drove so far for that fairing... who knows, might be worth a fortune in 25 years

My son rides a Honda shaft drive Nighthawk. The "Howley" boys won't wave at him either. :)

Those early model 1100cc Goldwings were really muscle bikes of their day!

"back in the day"................I had one of those early Goldwings run off and leave me in the twisties. They got my respect and the guy that was driv'n it too!

I went to high school with a kid whose dad only rode goldwings. He said that when they demo'd them they would go out on a track, stop the bike, and pull away in fifth gear. Then, once the rider had it up to speed, he would take his hands off the bars, whack one grip, and let the bike stabilize itself.

I had a friend that used to ride a Goldwing. It was actually a GL1200 as it didn't have all the body work. He used to swear it was the smoothest running bike ever made and to prove it he would balance a nickel on the valve cover of it while it was running. I was impressed.
