Title: Triumph Scrapbook
Post by: montmil on November 29, 2009, 04:06:53 PM
The Scrapbook Series: Triumph http://mortonsbooks.co.uk/

The scrapbook series recaptures the look and feel of scrapbooks, traditionally put together by enthusiasts (young and old) to detail their particular pastime. With the Mortons archive a goldmine of images - both famous and unpublished - we have created a unique collection of images covering the history of triumph...

I tripped across this offer while reading my favorite British bike rag, The Classic MotorCycle. After attempting to order the "bookazine", I found it was already sold out! At a bit over $13.00USD plus Royal Air Mail, perhaps it was a good thing.

What I did buy was a digital version for $4.95USD. Although it's not what a Luddite would prefer, it's a good deal.

Check out the offer from Zinio. The initial digital book order comes with a free "reader" that permits browsing the magazine off-line. Mortons also has a BSA Scrapbook "well stocked" and are preparing to release one on the Norton.   Monte

I bought the Triumph "bookazine" last xmas while on a holidays (touring around the snowy mountains, & yes i did have fun), but anyway i've looked everywhere (papershops/newsagents) for the BSA & Norton editions but cant find them anywhere >:(....In the Triumph bookazine it says that the next edition (BSA i think) will be out in July, but that was 6 months ago!!! But iam going to the snowies again this xmas (for more fun on two wheels around the mountains, & once again i'll have a bloody good time) so hopefully the BSA & Norton editions will be waiting for me from the same shop i bought the triumph one in...i really do want these bookazines there got heaps of old pics & its history..

Monty, do you still get The Classic Motorcycle?  I got that for years, but finally stopped as it's expensive.  I think I have about 2 feet of old issues.

Yes I do, Ed. It's, like, eight bucks US at the news stand. There is a subscription service out of MN, IIRC, but a sub runs about $96.00US/year. Ouch!

Wanta sell two feet of old magazines?    Monte

Yeah, I dropped the subscription before it even got up to 50 bucks a year.  What a good magazine though.  I'll have to check out what I have (and what I'll want to keep) and I'll pm you if I need the room.
