Title: Amazon delivery
Post by: wilcom on October 25, 2019, 11:09:37 AM
Delivery and price is why I shop at Amazon. Today I noticed a new wrinkle in there delivery process and I was blown away!

I got up on "TRACK MY PACKAGE" and saw it was out for delivery as expected. On the other side of the page was a map with a red dot for my house and a green dot for the truck  AND how many stops the truck had before he got to me! It showed 9 stops, refreshed and it showed 3 stops, then one stop.

I walked to the curb and within 40 seconds the truck pulled up and handed me my package.  Incredible!

Real Estate it's Location Location Location. Shopping it's Delivery Delivery Delivery.

I may never go to the store again

amazon is not that good for us in Australia, in the rural areas, their delivery is no better than anyone else and their prices aren't that good either.

Lucky for me I live in a metro area and have a fulfillment center less than 15 miles away. Most of my stuff comes next day(even when ordering at night at times) with free shipping. When shopping on Amazon I'm finding prices for my items from 25% to 66% off what I could get elsewhere and free shipping. Like my timing belt kit for my car. Locally it was a tic under $300 and a 1 day wait. with Amazon it was $104  free shipping and a two day wait...….but but but there are a million drawback to living in a Metro area  :'(
