Title: Wet Weather Due Here Today
Post by: Bob_Roller on September 30, 2018, 01:12:16 PM
Hurricane Rosa is moving up the west coast of Mexico and is forecast to start pushing a lot of tropical moisture into the southwestern US this evening .
It should be a tropical depression by the time the remnants cover this area, a lot of rain, but wind is not forecast to be an issue .
Southern California and most of the state of Arizona is in for a good drenching the next 3-4 days .
Forecast varies, 4-6 inches ( 10-15 cm ) of rain locally for me, that's about our average annual rainfall .
Looks like I'll be taking the car to work Tuesday and Wednesday, first time this year .
The last hurricane remnants we had here, was September, 2014, I got 7 inchesĀ  (18 cm ) of rain in 9 hours .

The greater danger to you folks, with all the fires this season, is mudslides from the bare earth.  We all wish you good luck.

OK, I wasn't reading closely enough and was thinking more to the west of you.  Still, good luck.
