We are expected to have the hottest 1st of October ever tomorrow with an anticipated 30c one of the hottest days of the year here, considering records in England go back to 1750 it combined with the changing weather patterns of the last couple of years makes you believe something is really going on. the most frustrating thing being i cannot ride this weekend due to commitments... Dooh probably snow next weekend.

Heres proof of Global warming

The best riding conditions of the year are getting close here in the northern Sonoran desert of south central Aridzona, day time highs are forecast to be in the low 90's F. starting next week, with overnight lows finally getting into the upper 60's F .
Almost to the point that you can turn the air conditioning off .
Haven't had a decent rain, (over.10 inches) since the third week of January .
The cacti are looking stressed !!!!!

I gotta steal that picture! LOL!

I got ya beat.....here in Texas we have just had the 82nd day over 100F or 37.7 C. Set a new record held since the 1920's....but many say it has noting to do with global warming ;D

It's been 100 F or over since May 2nd here in a suburb of the sun .
-
Oops...I made a mistake...make that 90 days over 100 :-[

We've had a slightly cooler and significantly wetter than average summer here in the northeast. Definitely not seeing the warmer weather that other folks are.
-
Considering the average temperature for 1st October is a mere 12c here this is unusual...
Rob i stole that picture from a pal on facebook who nicked it from a Old West reenactment forum in the USA so its gone full circle.

I have two or three photos of where I used to live in the 1950s and 1960s and a couple of years ago I went and took the same pictures from the same points. Know what's amazing now? On the old photos there are no road markings at all, not even a centre line on the main road. We got on fine without.

Lou, if it's any consolation it was too hot and sticky and at times a not very comfortable ride today. I much prefer it a bit cooler. I don't even want to think about what it's like to ride in 100 Deg F

It's like anything, you get acclimated to it after awile .
When I first got to Phoenix 18 years ago, I thought 100F. was going to kill me on the bike .
Now, 120F. is a bit uncomfortable, but I'm even wearing a 'jacket' (Joe Rocket mesh) at this temperature now !!!!!!!!!!!
