Title: Other crazy things I do sometime around Christmas
Post by: Semper Gumby on December 22, 2010, 09:18:30 AM
...besides ride!

I don't know if there are any other singers out there but here is something I have contributed a Video for.  It end Dec 31st.  Thought I would pass this on.

The piece of music is for Eric Whitacre's "Sleep" that was originally written for Robert Frost's "Stopping by woods on a snowy evening".  (There is a story about that).  As a tenor, I was immediately smitten with the close harmonies.  All the videos get "combined" (if they're good enough) into the finished product some time in 2011.

Here is the link.

and here is a choir doing the piece live with Eric conducting.

Way cool.  I don't expect my video to make the cut but it was definitely worth the time as is my time here with you guys.

Merry Christmas Y'all.   8-)

That is so cool!!  I saw the original video when it came out.

I found your video, Bill.  Then I watched the choir doing it.  Very nice indeed.  Thanks for sharing this passion of yours.

Thanks Bill!  I don't have time to watch the whole thing right now (heading out to Sears for a compression tester!  ;D ), but it looks and sounds great!
