I embarrassing fainted after having minor surgery.A couple of years ago i tried to cut my hand i half and watched as the surgeon re attached my tendons under local anesthetic (injections between the fingers were excruciatingly painful.) it was an interesting experience so when i was told i was to have a dodgy mole removed under local i thought it would be a breeze,
All went well until they started stitching me up i felt a bit funny but being a hard biker wasn't bothered, as i stood up i noticed a pool of blood were i had been sat and hey ho had a wobble.
O well wont be riding for a week but my street cred will take longer to repair.

;D Good one, Lou!! ;D ;D
I'm lucky in that this sort of thing doesn't bother me at lot........ at the time it happens............ ::)
e.g. Years ago, I was racing in an event called the Australian Safari. Kinda like Dakar, but shorter and easier. The guy in front of me crashed so hard that his femur broke and ended up poking out through his thigh and his riding pants! :o The thing I remember most is the look of the sand that was stuck to the end of the bone. ::)
I got on the radio to get a helicopter in, straightened his leg (with his instructions as he was a paramedic) and kept him calm until the professionals took over. I felt absolutely fine about it all until I had to jump back on my bike and start racing again........... :-/

Yup im thinking of emigrating and becoming a whinging Pom.
Funny thing is when i severed the edge of my hand cutting the tendons and blood vessels to two fingers i wrapped it up and drove myself to A&E (ER) 5 miles bleeding like a stuck pig without flinching.

Are the scars longer than the zippers on your leathers? That's fate telling you to slow down.

Dav why do you think they call me "lucky"....
Every day may be a bonus but every day on my r65 is the cherry on my cake.
I took the rebuild project on to give me a goal and stop me going stir crazy while i was having months of treatment/ops, the thought being if i can rebuild this wreck of a bike then maybe i can rebuild this wreck of a body.
The bike is in better shape than me thanks to the help of you guys
Randal the scars are good for reenacting if anyone sees em i tell them the injuns or the Damn Yankees got me.
