The veiw from Sandal Castle shows the lake amost completely frozen over (it now is) my home is in the background this lake has never frozen over in the 20 years ive lived here there have been some intresting events in this area the castle was largely ruined in the English Civil War.

Its still snowing im going stir crazy i may have to invest in some snow tyres so i can get out on the bike.

The ice is over 3 inches thick at the edge but i wouldnt recommend anyone going on it ...i used to wind surf there mmm theres a thought.
There were 2 guys (brothers) killed when they went through ice the other day stupid is what stupid does.

I use to make these alot but the sail was in front and above the rider. With a 25 mph wind you can go 60 mph and they handle like shifter carts. I grew up in South Dakota and we rode more in the winter on the frozen rivers than we did in the summer. Parents had a cabin on a lake so we sailed all yr round.
