Just when we thought that cooler temperatures were here to stay in Phoenix, it's supposed to reach 101-103 F. (38-39 C.) today .

Did you guys get anything from that storm that hit California? The leftovers of the Typhoon that hit Japan came into California and dumped an incredible amount of water, especially in the coastal mountains - I think they said up to 17 inches in the hardest hit areas. It didn't get very cold, and created a high humidity here which is unusual for this area. It felt like Hawaii for awhile. ;D
Can't complain though. It effectively ended the fire season.

Well, it's definitely cooled down now, it's 55 F. (13C.) at 0615 today .
All we got down here from those hurricane remnants , was a bit of wind, and a few high clouds .
-
I feel better now Bob. ;) It's raining here and 37 deg. F. I am barely contemplating riding to our monthly Vintage Club meeting 1.5 hours away. As Derek always says "wouldn't the van be easier?"
-
It's forecast to get to 87 F.(31C.) today, it got to 94 F. (34C.) yesterday in the garage when I was working on the LS .

Well if it makes you feel any cooler, we had 36C today in S.E.Queensland Australia. And were still a month and a bit off just the start of summer. ;)

It looks like summer has finally give up for this year .
The National Weather Service here in Phoenix, made an official statement, that we will have no more 100 F. temps until April of next year .
The last few mornings have gotten down to 55 F.
But we're in for a change here today and tomorrow, there's a strong high pressure system in the west central US, and the winds are picking up from the east .
At 0845, I have 8% humidity, 72 F. on the weather station in the backyard, and winds forecast to get up to 45 mph .
Visibility will drop from the 150 miles now, to about half a mile when the wind gets to blowing .
We'll be breathing dirt for the next few days.
So much for washing the vehicles this week .
-
Got to 90 F.(32c.) at 1500 today, 95 F.(35c.) in the garage with the doors open .
4 months without any meaningful precipitation .
-
37F ~ 3C all day and showers interrupted by steady rain.
greetings from a dark and cold north

Reached 91 F. (33 C.) yesterday .
I've taken my vacation at this time of year, for the last 16 years here in Phoenix, this has to be the warmest it's been in those 16 years !!!
I'd like to see some rain, I can usually turn off the drip irrigation water system by early November, but not this year .
I planted a cactus today, in an area that gets no supplemental water, just what falls from the sky, and I had to soak the area, then dig down with a post hole digger, then add some more water let it soak in and continue on until I got to the required depth .
Ground was a hard as a rock .
The long range forecast for the greater Phoenix area, is drier than normal, and warmer than normal .
Total rain fall so far this year on the electronic rain gauge in the backyard, is 2.63 inches (6.7cm), average yearly amount is around 7 inches (17.8cm) .
-
I wish I could share with you Bob. Our weather here is about the same as Trolle's; maybe warmer. I almost need to put the liner in my Olympia one piece.

During last week we've had 0.8 inches (20 mm) and since July 1. the precipitation amounts to 22 inches (550 mm) which is 40% above average.
greetings from a grey north where rain is beginning in less than an hour

Just saw a news article today saying we (in Tucson) have had the third warmest November on record. Just within the last few days has it cooled down enough to see your breath in the morning.
Good riding weather! :D
-
We've gone from air conditioning weather, almost to heating weather in a week or two !!!!
It was 41 F. (5 C.) at 0520 this morning when I left for work .
Had the hand grip heater turned on, on the oilhead this morning on the way to work .
-
We've just had the numbers for November: 27 days of rain!
greetings from a dry December day (We had our first frost day yesterday)
-

Hi Nor65
You're kidding, a dry day in Bergen?
Nice to know that there is some one in the vicinity though. One of these days I will take the ferry from Hirtshals to Kristianssand and try the Norwegian roads.
greetings from a grey north

Hi Trolle.
We do have dry days i Bergen. A few each year.
Especially in winter months. We have some rain in spring, summer and autumn. The temperatures in Bergen is usually between 0-8 Celsius in winter and 8-20 in summer. Very little snow in winter months and not too cold.
I guess I have had 30 summer holidays in Denmark, usually in Sønderborg area. But none on my mc.
Now its time for a cold Tuborg beer. Have a nice weekend.
-
At least post a pic of you and your bike, NorR65! ::)
-
I will post pictures in the future.
I usually ride on my Yamaha Tenere and don't have a camera with me.
Maybe I take "my" nature for granted. But I love pictures from your rides in your nature. At the moment I don't thrust my R65 for longer rides. On my next ride on my R65 I will take my camera with me.

Any fjords around where you live that you could get a pic of, NorR65?
