Some of those aviation, and marine engines from WWII, were incredibly huge !!!!

Fuel consumption was not a high priority .

If you can remember, while watching a WWII movie about submarine s, if you get a shot of the engine room, all of the rocker arm mechanisms, are exposed .

Makes those 2 cylinder, 500 cubic inch engines in the old John Deere tractors seem quite puny by comparison...

I don't think that I'd want to drive that Brutus-mobile with that drivetrain - even though the drive chains look pretty beefy..

That thing is a monster.  This one almost is, but is very rideable.  Anyone seen this yet?  What a change in how they can put an engine together now.
