A remarkable story.

So all you have to do to catch a burgler is make sure to draw a little blood while they are on the premises....mmm  a Bear Trap ought to do it.

For 4 months out of the year, we have plenty of biting blies and mosquitos, but one can never count on them staying put for later evidence collection.   I am sure that my wife would not approve of my digging a moat around the house and filling it with leeches... ;D

If I tried to set a bear trap, I'm sure that MY DNA would be all over it before I was done.
