This car gets my vote as the coolest barn find car ever discovered. I think it would be a perfect comapnion to the Art Deco BMW R7 motorcycle.

Hey Lucky Lou...yes, I would check that family tree soon. Here's another (and better link) to the car. Fascinating story...had you heard of this car in the British news previously? How's the weather across the pond?

The old man was quite an interesting character. Interestingly, I'm beginning to define myself as a "Motoarcheologist", i.e., one who always searches for that rare and elusive barn find, or EBF. Even had a dog named Indiana a few years back. The EBF's are still out there and I've had one or two in my day, but nothing remotely like this one.

It's amazing, what can still be found in a barn these days !!!!
-
WOW !
That sort of thing never happens to me !
Of course, if I had such a car in the family, I'd be more tempted to restore it and drive it, than sell it.

fifty years!!! just sitting there collecting dust :'(, great story.
Hey guys have you read this book, some of the stories are abit over the top (well i think so anyway) but a good read, makes you wanna check every shed/barn/garage you come across :D

We just got back from a trip to Colorado to pick up the 1967 Guzzi Stornello that the spouse bought when he was at the Guzzi National in Salida, CO back in June.
If I had had a truck and trailer and some $$$ in my pocket, I would have come home with all the bikes in this guys garage. Several 60's era Triumphs including a Trident and a Bonne with the way cool tank rack on it that only has 80 miles on the odo. A BSA, an R69, couple of Nortons, and a couple of those Honda touring bikes from the 70's that have the three carbs lined up across the front of the engine.
~sigh~
Sadly, the Honda Element only had room for the Stornello. ;D
