Title: Vacation Finally Got Here !

As of 1430 local today, I'm on vacation for 5 weeks !!!!

Definitely ready for it this year .

I'll start working on the '84 LS this week, getting new tires and tubes installed on Wednesday .

Then the front brake system will be re-assembled .

Took the seat in last Tuesday to get it recovered and a gel pad installed, got a call today from the seat shop, and the seat is ready for me to pick up on Monday .

Exhaust system will be removed and taken to Jet Hot, for reconditioning the black coating on the header and cross over pipes , they have a dingy gray look to them, but the mufflers are still in remarkable shape, for 91,000 miles .

One of their shops is just about 2 miles from home .

While the exhaust is off, I'll replace the timing chain, and the alternator brushes .

Enjoy the time off Bob!  Nothing like messing around with your favorite ride(s) on the down time.  And don't forget to take a nap every now and then.

I like to get majority of what needs to be done, in the first 7-10 days, while I'm still in 'work mode' .

After that the enthusiasm level drops off pretty fast, and chances of getting any appreciable amount of work accomplished is almost non-existent .

With the temperatures forecast to be favorable to working in the garage (low 90's F.)
