This is indeed a sad indictment on Australian society:

What are we becoming?

It's certainly not just Australia alone... We in the USofA can be just as sad as this woman. Get me a rope...

It is a rather pathetic situation. Unfortunately, if you go to just about any childrens athletic event here in the USA you'll see abusive behavior all of the time. Mostly verbal but it still sets a bad example.

Terrible, but sadly, I've seen much worse around the world. I hope that the juveniles involved in the attack also get some jail time, and the victim is compensated for her injuries.
It is sad that some of the criminal humans that make it into these news stories are largely a waste of good oxygen for the rest of us. But, we can't start up the Soylent Green factories yet, can we?

Fortunatly the "craze " of what was known as "happy slapping" ie beating random vunerable folk up and posting video clips has died down in the UK due to the police acting against the perpotrators and posters of the clips it is unforgivable behavour but if parents cannot set a good example for there children to follow then it will only get worse "reap what you sow" springs to mind.
