I can only think that whoever came up with these symbols that are used in Japan is having a really good laugh. (The actual meaning to each symbol is printed in the newspaper article, but I can think of a few on my own.)

Is this a family forum? Because if this is a family forum I won't say what I really think but those are funny from our perspective. Of course most Americans that go to Jolly Olde England get a hoot out of the voice on the metro that reminds us to "mind the gap!" And down in Oz, one doesn't "pass" a car, one "overtakes" a car which is actually more correct. I pass cars all the time when they are going the other direction. ;D

I hate to be fastidious about these things, but I find that I rarely overtake something - unless of course it is a little ol' man on a gopher....
Usually it is the other way around..... ;D

bahaha. I love signs and messages in Asia.
I can spend hours on engrish.com
Some of the messages are so prophetic and poetic.
