Question for anyone who knows how to post photos on Coppermine. The site will not let me post because it says "The height and/or width is more than allowed by the gallery config." I can't find any place on Coppermine that pertains to set up features. I'm assuming this is something that is available to administrators...right? These are photos from a Kodak photo disk and are all about 1.5 to 2 Meg in size.

As you surmise, it may have something to do with the file size. I Think the limit is set by the Web Master to conserve web space. Note the requirement on the R65 site is to keep the size below 384 KB!!!
2 MB is a pretty large photo. Try using a photo editing program, like Adobe Photoshop, to re-size an example below the 384 KB size and try posting. If you don't have a program to handle it, there are probably other members who can suggest a low cost (or free) alternative.

if you have more than one email addess then email it to yourself then post it from there as it will have been automatically resized ive had to do this to post pics on this forum

Thanks for the info Lou. I wound up using Microsoft Photo Editor and resized the photos to 65 pct of their orig. size. Used trial and error method as 75 pct and 70 pct wouldn't download...kept getting "file size too big" alerts.

Bike looks great, glad you figured out how much to resize. I had looked through the config but couldn't see where image filesize was set so I left the suggestion to make 'em smaller as the fix.
After viewing your uploaded pix I can see that they are still extremely large in dimension and did find where the physical size defaulted to a max of 2048 pixels. I reset the option to allow the software to automatically resize the uploaded pix to this size constraint instead of rejecting them. I had given each registered user 40 Mb of disk space to store images.
Personally, I would size photos to no more than 1024x768 as I feel it's a bit of a pain to view a huge image and having to scroll around in it - but that;s just my opinion...

Thanks greatly for the input and photo editing! Since the photos were taken I've put the original shocks back on...just needed some polishing and detailing. It rides with a little more bounce than with the aftermarket shocks, but I prefer the original "retro" feel. My next goal is to buy a set of original mirrors from Max or A&S and bring it a little closer to its "as delivered" form. Then I'll put original wires back on it...I'm a purist I guess.

I like your mirrors, maybe I can deal you out of 'em for the "Junkyard Dawg"! I personally don't like the stock BMW wires as a lot of people feel that once the wire starts breaking down then you might get arcing to the metal cover if things get damp... As for shocks, if you can feel they are more "bouncy" I would think your aftermarket ones might be safer/more controllable in a panic/emergency situation...
