For no particular reason....
Well now I know I have to relate the short story of the magic frog fantastically colored and hence described -
Deep wet green with a golden nose - two gold lines through the jeweled eyes and met at the tail end that showed in the sunlight like real threaded gold. Between the two lines on the back were brown polka dots - outside underneath a hidden pale yellow green.
Colors so vivid in the sun my mother-in-law said "I never saw such a colored frog. Do you think it is a magic frog? Do you think if I kiss it, it will turn into a Prince?"
Her youngest (quite young) Peter said, "Mom - don't ruin a good frog!"
;D

Rob I think the frog-in-question was a variant of this

the Southern Leopard Frog.
But since it was a magic frog the colors were some how more vibrant. I will endeavor to get a picture of said frog in sunlight for you all to see. This will be difficult as the frog-in-question is quite grumpy and anti-social because of his continued froggyness. (I'm sure his expectations, now dashed, were high.)
