I wonder why no-one has produced any DVDs of various mbikes showing correct procedures on maintainence etc......

Oh, there are some out there, to be certain.   Check out ebay for try.  This ebay store-front sells DVD for early BMW engine rebuild/maintenance and at one point I swear that I saw them selling DVDs for /5 -> 1995 airheads, but it isn't in their store at the moment.   Still, might be worthwhile to bookmark and check them out..

I know our local club has some - esp for the older bikes, as they are VHS!

I have never borrowed one, though, so I've no info...

I should look into that!

There are some out there but the ones I have are for Triumphs. Engine rebuilding, maintenance and parts diagrams / factory manuals are all available for that brand. The moderator of one popular board has even created one himself which is use full. With the depth of knowledge available on the internets and the readily available & free parts diagrams for BMWs perhaps no one felt there was a market.
