Filling up kinda fast. Should lay my credit card up there, to.

Good one! Yes, on the credit card.
Is that your service diary? Must have been Viet Nam?
I have my father's service diary from WWII - South Pacific.

What's wrong with the speedo? They are often easy to fix and keep off the "offering" shelf...

Well, Rob, we have something else in common besides BMW scooters.
The Service Diary belonged to my late father. He dropped out of high school during his senior year on Monday, December 8th, 1941. Joined the Army Air Corps and finally came home in late 1945. I was born nine months later ;)
Dad ended up in the CBI as a flight engineer on C-46s and C-47s, flying the "Hump". Within my homemade memento box is his AAC issue wrist watch, a few patches, some photos, his ribbon "rack" and some other stuff.
My late father-in-law was a P-51 pilot in the Second Air Commandos, SW Pacific area. I have quite a bit of his personal gear given to me by my mother-in-law as she knows I'm "air minded". The neatest item is a Jap pilot's knee board flight computer. Still has the pencil notes on wind direction and speed from his last flight.
Anyway, the shelf is just a takeoff on Burt Munro's workshop shelf and his "Offerings to the Gods of Speed". And Justin, outside of a failed odometer, the speedo's OK. Looks nice sitting there, wouldn't you agree?

I transcribed my father's diary onto digital. Let me know if you would like a copy, and I'll email it to you.
The offer is good to anyone else reading this.
Here are a few of Dad's momento's that he brought back, that I have scanned.
There is more, I just have not dug though all of my boxes. (collector living a nomadic lifestyle...)
